It only took twenty hours, but we made it in the end and arrived at the Hyatt hotel at 9pm Californian time, 5am GMT. The hotel was amazing, and had a brilliant balcony view - indoors! Just look!
Our room view wasn't spectacular but I delight in the small differences so I found it equally entertaining.
It was an interesting start to the holiday, feeling quite out of place in a fancy hotel but loving every minute of it. This was a one off though, and today we're heading for our apartment in Napa Valley, San Francisco where the real experience begins!
